Pirates of the Marrying-Beings
"The wedding is Pirate-themed," my sister told me. "Bailey [my 6 year old niece] came up with the idea." Which is awesome, I've decided. Regular weddings are so boring. The cake, lame speeches, bouquet toss and bad dancing music ["She's a Brick... Uh.. House" and The Macarena? Really?!] at each and every wedding.
But pirates! The possibilities! Ravishing the Bridesmaids. Taking the marriage blood oath. Pillaging the Wedding Booty (aka
Gift.) Duels over freshly sliced cake. Where a normal wedding has me yawning and considering my exit strategy, I feel a building excitement today.
Hoping the themed-wedding trend catches on. Brides, if you are looking for a good planner, I know a very creative 6 year-old, who I'm sure, would be very affordable. And weddings are basically parties, with a bunch of boring ceremonies, speeches and poems up front, right? So why not make it as fun as possible for everyone.

Reading Groundswell Now - Twitter Power Next
For the background and theory surrounding the explosion of Social Media, I am reading (and recommend) Groundswell. I'll post a review of it soon.
For concrete ideas on how to use Twitter, what it is, and how it works, I recommend Twitter Power.
Both are available at my online bookstore at a significant discount off the retail price. All purchases benefit the Citrix Online Business Book Club, so thanks, in advance, for your support!
