In Memory of my Grandmother, LaVerne Long, a.ka. Mammaw.
Mammaw passed away at 5:30 PM on Sunday August 6, 2006 at Cottage Hospital due to complications from a stroke she suffered on Thursday afternoon. My uncle Gary, Aunt Mary Jo, mother, Tommie and I were all there with her and she passed peacefully in her sleep.
I wanted to post a video of her from 7/15/2006 taken at my daughter's birthday party. I feel that this video shows Mammaw as I remember - loving her great grandchildren and showing off her energy, her wonderful sense of humor and her easy smile. I love you, Mammaw and will miss you.
