A plug for my favorite email software

I've evaluated several solutions for sending email to large groups. My favorite software solution is Gammadyne.

The interface is downright ugly, but it has such powerful scripting capabilities, a built in language called G-Merge for data manipulation and the ability to plug into almost any database, that I can't help but love it. I thought I'd bring it up, since the holidays are coming and those of you who are slow to get out your paper christmas cards (you know who you are!) could sign up for a Gammadyne trial and send out 'emailed' christmas cards instead. Just a thought.

Download a trial version of Gammadyne or purchase it now.

Sid Meier's Colonization - Answered!

Just interested in knowing if there are any other fans of the game Colonization out there. I've got an old MS-DOS copy, which is incredibly unstable and don't know how to get the sound to work (it asks for sound card DMA settings, and I've got no idea how to find these on my new fangled sound card.)

But if anyone out there knows, could you post a comment and share the wealth?

UPDATE:

I got the sound working with Brad's help. If you're facing a similar problem, here's what he said to do, which worked for me.

How do you get sound and music in old DOS games?

In Windows XP, DOS is emulated, so no matter what sound card you have, you can
hear sound if the DOS games were written to use the Sound Blaster 2.0. All you
need to do is set your game to use a Sound Blaster 2.0 with a General Midi
device and the following configuration:

Digital Sound: Sound Blaster 2.0
Port: 220
IRQ: 5
DMA Channel: 1
Music: General MIDI
Port: 330

Note: This may not work with all of your games, for another solution try
downloading and installing VDMSound.
